Electronics Engineer for 3D Scanner Systems Development

You will join our electronics groups which currently consists of 17 electronics engineers. The team is rapidly growing and now we will expand further with new colleagues in our dental intraoral scanner systems department in order to pursue all the interesting projects we have in the pipeline. 

The team is working on tasks such as overall product design, design of systems/boards containing FPGAs, processors, high-speed data transfer interfaces, motors, advanced sensors/image sensors, lasers/LEDs and other mechatronics components. This includes PCB schematic capture and layout as well as design for EMC. There is also subsequent verification of designs including EMC testing.
Development will happen in close corporation with optics-, mechanicals-, software-, and systems engineers to achieve the overall best product design solution.

The team members participate in cross-discipline project groups, developing the scanner itself or accessories to deliver an overall optimized solution for the end-user. The team members are involved in the whole product lifecycle, spanning over idea generation, concept phase, product realization, transfer to our own production and sub-suppliers, as well as product maintenance. At the same time, the electronics team collaborates across projects to share experiences and get feedback on design choices, share technology, and develop our expertise in general.

Your profile

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in electrical engineering
• A least a few years of relevant work experience or superior grades
• You have knowledge of most of the listed disciplines in the job description
• Excellence in either
  • Digital electronics design, including test & verification
  • PCB layout of advanced designs
  • Electronic device construction, including bigger and smaller devices
     
• Other valuable additional expertise
  • In-depth knowledge of interfaces such as DDR, LVDS, Ethernet, USB, WIFI, etc.
  • ARM/Linux development
  • Ability to program in high level PC languages to some degree
  • Design for EMC & regulatory compliance, including test execution
  • Battery and power technologies
  • Usability engineering

You should also have a desire for contributing in the design/idea phase, for using experimental setups in the exploratory phase, and you reach out beyond your own field of expertise and take on responsibilities in scanner development.
