Does joining an innovative and passionate R&D team with a global purpose sounds like the perfect opportunity for you?

At FOSS, we are driven by a strong sense of purpose, and we hope you are too. A fast growing world population means that the global food production will have to increase by 60% by 2050 to meet the demand. We want to come up with smarter ways to make the best use of agricultural resources, and to help eliminate food waste. If you share our interest, read on!

Our R&D department
Our R&D department currently consists of more than 300 employees located at several R&D hubs around the globe. FOSS is on a steep growth trajectory these years, and the R&D department is set to expand significantly over the coming period – a process you will be a part of. Our R&D teams have a legacy of more than 100 patents and 20 world’s first solutions, as well as a very exciting pipeline of development projects up for launch within the coming years.

The position
We are looking for a Technician in Electronics with talent and curiosity to learn more. You are prepared to take on exciting and technically challenging tasks by joining the HW product development team in our R&D department. We are dealing with the development of sophisticated technology, systems and mechanical features based on state of the art Electronics, Mechanics and Mechatronics.

You will be working in project teams, together with many other specialists from the electronics, mechanics, optical, and chemical fields. We are all focusing on developing and integrating new technology into analytical solutions and instruments for our global customers in industries and laboratory testing services.

Your main tasks will consist of building and maintaining prototypes, designing cable assemblies and trouble shooting on optical and electro mechanical interfaces. Tasks thus often require a coordinated effort across the organization, and you will get to work with many different teams and colleagues, in a multicultural highly technical environment. The job is located at our new R&D Innovation Centre in Hillerød, Denmark.

Who are we looking for?
Our ideal candidate comes with an educational background as Electronic technician and a minimum of 1-3 years of experience within several of the following fields:

  • Design of cables, manufacturing, specifications, suppliers and documentation
  • Error finding and repair on prototype PCB
  • Design of power supplies for instruments
  • Support for teams working with EMC, Vibration, Climate, reliability and life time test

It will be considered an advantage if you have previously worked with other disciplines, e.g mechanics, optics, light, ESW, EMC, electrical safety or electro mechanical interfaces.

Since FOSS is a global organization, it is a prerequisite that you can communicate in Danish and English.

About you
To be successful in this role, you need talent for working in teams and for building relationships with many different people and cultures.

People describe you as a true team player with a good sense of humor, who understands how to chip in and be part of an engaged and skilled team. Last but not least, you are good at keeping the overview and handling changes, and you thrive with many different types of tasks. You are able to plan your own time and coordinate smaller tasks/projects across the teams, and you are not afraid of hands-on work like using a soldering iron.

We offer
We offer a challenging job in an international, innovative and highly successful organization. We are market leaders within our field and very proud of the results we deliver. Our work is based on trust and working in teams, and you can expect to enter a great working place where work-life balance and flexibility are valued and where you can bring your ideas to the table and make a real difference.
