Electrical and/or software engineering Intern for offshore wind projects

Do you have a drive and passion for wind turbines, and are you an engineering student interested in becoming an intern for the 2019 spring semester in one of the world’s largest developers and operators of offshore wind power? 
 
Join us and become Intern in the SCADA team in Technical Integrity Management where you’ll influence decisions and handle tasks on your own, thereby contributing with your knowledge and expertise. You’ll be a part of the SCADA team, which is responsible for all hardware and software installations for controlling our wind farms. The aim of the team is to ensure maximum turbine performance through failure analysis projects and production optimisation and ensure that optimum preventive maintenance is performed. 
 
Your key tasks will be to 

  • assist our engineers in failure root cause analysis  
  • collect data and perform technical analyses based on these 
  • structure and organise information and make it easily accessible  
  • perform technical case management, including supplier communication 
  • assist in asset integrity communication and reporting.  

Furthermore, you’ll participate in various cross-team projects involving mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines. 
 
The above-mentioned tasks will depend on your qualifications. 
 
Your competences include that you 

  • are currently studying to become an electrical or software engineer and have an academic or a practical background 
  • are interested in working with and learning more about offshore wind power and specifically about the hardware and software systems that carry the electricity from the wind turbines to the grid  
  • have technical knowledge and a good foundation in electrical and/or software theory; i’s an advantage if you have already passed network-related courses 
  • speak and write English at a communicative level 
  • have a positive approach to your work tasks and a drive and eagerness to learn.  

Moreover, you’re able to focus on a specific task for a long period and show good documentation skills when delivering an assignment.
