Electrical and SW Engineering Interns

We are looking for interns to be a part of our Electrical and SCADA department during spring 2017. If you are studying electrical or SW engineering, have a high personal drive and a passion for wind energy, then DONG Energy is the place for you.
 
Join us and become an intern in the Electrical and SCADA department which is responsible for the integrity of all electrical(both HV and LV) and SW installations on Dong Energy’s wind parks in operation in DK, DE, and UK. This responsibility means that we are handling the larger technical faults in the fleet, and we specify the preventive maintenance which are to be carried out.
 
The department is part of Wind Power, which has 1400 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. 
 
You will be based at our office in Gentofte near the greater Copenhagen area. However, if you are to work with the wind turbine electrical area you can choose to be based in Fredericia. 
 
Areas of responsibility 
The department is divided into three main technical areas, and we are looking for an intern within each area. The areas are:  

• SCADA systems and Network 
• HV and Cables 
• Wind turbine electricals 

The technical content of your tasks will depend on which technical area that you will be working for, but generally the tasks will be:  

• Assist our engineers in failure root causes analysis  
• Collect data and make technical analysis based on these 
• Structure and organize information and make it easy accessible  
• Technical case management including supplier communication 

Your profile
You are studying to become an electrical or SW engineer and you are about to take an internship as part of your bachelor education.  
 
You shall be interested in working with and learning more about offshore wind power and specifically about the HW and SW that carry the electricity from the wind turbines to the grid.  
 
As a person, you have a positive attitude, a large drive, and are eager to learn. You are able to focus on a specific task for a longer period, and show good document structure skills when delivering an assignment.
