Join us in shaping the next generation of engineers as DTU Tenure Track Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in Digital Installations at DTU Engineering Technology

DTU Engineering Technology invites applications for a position as Assistant/Associate Professor in digital Installations in the newly started research group Building Technology and Processes. You will contribute in establishing the research group by defining research projects and research objectives – and you will contribute in the transformation of research into teaching in one or more of the following areas: Mechanical installations, Indoor climate and energy, Building Management Systems (BMS) and Building Automation, Building Information Modelling (BIM), Virtual Design and Construction (VDC).

The assistant professor position is part of DTU’s Tenure Track program. We offer a rewarding and challenging job in an international environment. Responsibilities and qualifications
The position as assistant/associate professor at DTU Engineering Technology entails a combination of teaching, supervision and research. Your teaching activities will likely include courses within the research areas as described above. You must also be willing to expand your teaching competencies in relation to DTU`s future needs.

Apart from teaching, you will engage in a number of industrial research projects, both by joining on- going projects at the department, as well as by taking the lead in applying for and finding external funding for research and development projects in close collaboration with your research group. The main research themes for your research group relates to the practical application of construction technology for a sustainable built environment, why emphasis is on collaborative relationships with companies, industry associations and public institutions.

We are looking for applicants with a relevant MSc or PhD degree in engineering, with extensive experience within one or more of the areas: Mechanical installations, Indoor climate and energy, Building Management Systems (BMS) and Building Automation, Building Information Modelling (BIM), Virtual Design and Construction (VDC). If you are applying for the associate professor position, you should also have academic qualifications equivalent to those obtained by holding an assistant professorship and documented didactic/pedagogic training.

The teaching language in our department is Danish. You must therefore be able to teach in Danish after three years. DTU can provide Danish language courses. You will be assessed against the responsibilities and qualifications stated above and the following general criteria:

Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The salary for the position will be determined by the applicants’ qualifications and in agreement with the relevant union. The position is full time with a starting date as soon as possible.
