We are looking for a new Document Manager to join our project office team in the Fjernbane East Project – the project responsible for the implementation of new signalling technology in the Eastern part of Denmark.

The Danish Signalling Programme, as the largest of its kind in Europe, is fully engaged replacing the old signalling system on the Danish railway with new computer-based signalling technology. The system is aligned with the European standard, European Railway Traffic Management System (ERTMS). Replacing the system on the entire railway makes Denmark the first country to implement ERTMS on a national scale.    

Your place of employment will be at our headquarters in central Copenhagen close to public transportation at Dybbølsbro Station.

Documentation and processes

As a Document Manager you will handle documentation delivered by our supplier. You will be involved in the handover of the documentation to ProArc, which is our documentation management system. It is your responsibility to ensure that the project documentation processes are aligned with the requirements of the Signalling Programme.

Your main tasks and responsibilities are:

  • Managing supplier documents and drawings
  • Keeping track of the review and approval process for supplier documentation
  • Undertaking all quality activities related to handling of documentation
  • Maintaining a document register for supplier documentation
  • Training project members in processes related to documentation
  • Super user on SharePoint Online – our platform for document sharing, collaboration and management
  • Managing user access to SharePoint Online and ProArc.

Technical knowledge with analytical skills and a structured approach

You probably hold an engineering degree or a degree in the Humanistic or Commercial field, and you have experience in handling technical documentation. It is an advantage if you have experience with SharePoint Online and ProArc as well as with large industrial development projects.

On a more personal level, we are looking for a team player with analytical skills, and a structured and detailed approach. At the same time, you can work independently and towards given tasks and deadlines.

The role includes communicating with colleagues of many different nationalities, therefore good communication skills in Danish as well as English are required. Our working language is English, both written and spoken, and documentation is in English and Danish.


If you hold an academic degree, you will be employed in relation to the Circular on the Collective Agreement concerning Academics in the state sector concluded between the Ministry of Finance and AC (the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations).  

Otherwise, the position follows the Joint Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Public Employee Organizations - state area and the Organisation Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and HK/State, Denmark and the protocol for clerks employed by Banedanmark. As a starting point, the position is placed in salary group 4, capital region. However, the salary will ultimately be settled on the basis of individuel competences and qualifications. In addition to the salary comes pension and possible supplements.
