About the department
We are looking for interns to support our ongoing modern technology journey by developing solutions that help us access and act on data more effectively, reduce the impact of repetitive manual tasks, and enable our team to make the best decisions regarding safety and quality.

We have several opened positions in departments across the factory!

The new Digitalization team is in charge of implementing the factory's digital transformation. We've evolved from a business intelligence and data visualization foundation into a broad team that supports large-scale operational planning, data validation, citizen development, and a variety of other systems and tools.

We strike a balance between rapid prototyping and deployment of a large number of focused solutions with long-term impact. You'll have the opportunity to help both sides while also developing strong relationships with end users at all levels of the organization.

If you have interest or experience in any of the processes or systems below, we will work to find the right fit. Our facility is responsible for aseptic and finished production of medicines for over 170 countries. To meet the needs of our patients around the world, we rely on a combination of modern technology and an experienced, engaged workforce.

The position
Throughout your time here, you'll be a member of a program that supports all of the site's current technology-focused interns. Here, you'll form tight bonds with not only your "home" department, but with interns working on comparable projects in other departments, as well as Novo Nordisk subject matter experts.

You'll collaborate closely with local stakeholders to understand the biggest challenges and develop ways to overcome them. Depending on your interests, these solutions might include:

  • Improving data access from our current systems and creating new data visualizations
  • Development of new data models and mobile applications
  • Using augmented reality and automated manual processes

You'll also have lots of chances to help your home department's essential functions, whether they're supply chain, finance, digitization, LEAN manufacturing, or something else entirely.

Practicalities:

  • Internship Period: Full-time, 30+ hours per week at fall and summer semester
  • Salary: 12.000 DKK/month
  • Start Date: 1 July-1 September
  • Workplace: Hillerød, Denmark; with the possibility to work from home multiple days per week
  • You must be enrolled as a student throughout the duration of the internship and a Danish work permit is required

Qualifications
You’re currently pursuing a degree in IT, Digitalization, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Communications, or a related filed. More significantly, you showed an interest in collaborating closely with people to better understand how new technologies may best tackle identified challenges.

With a customer-focused perspective, the ability to transform complicated inputs into clear and succinct outputs.  Keen to drive solutions from ideation to implementation with a little coaching and supervision, and you're not afraid to change course as you learn.

You are confident or curious in any of the following areas:

  • Data Access and Architecture (e.g., AWS, Azure, SQL, Dataverse) or Data Analysis and Science (e.g., Excel, Python, R, Alteryx, SAS JMP)
  • Data visualisation (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, Grafana) or Process Automation (e.g., UiPath, Power Automate)
  • Collaborative robotics (e.g., Universal Robots, machine vision, machine learning) or Mechanical design and simulation (e.g., SolidWorks)
  • Mobile app development (e.g., Power Apps) or Software Development – Cloud Engineering (.Net, Vue.js, Angular, React, SQL, javascript, AWS, Azure)
  • Virtual or augmented reality (e.g., HoloLens) or Digital communication (e.g., SharePoint)
  • Lean or Six Sigma

English is required for all positions. Danish is a plus.
