Are you ready to apply your digital skills to solve real problems in a global pharma company? We are looking for an intern to help us create digital solutions supporting our drug development processes – making it possible for us to get important new medicines to patients faster. In Global Development, we are responsible for managing clinical drug development worldwide from early development phases to product launch. We provide medical and scientific documentation for clinical submissions and authorities while ensuring that the process lives up to global standards, regulations and business ethics.

About the department
You will join a highly dynamic department, Digital Innovation, with the aim to enable digital transformation across all areas of Global Development by developing cutting edge digital solutions to support the business. The solutions cover a broad range of areas including automation of processes, operational data insights and better exploration of clinical data. The department includes highly skilled and engaged people that are responsible for the activities and initiatives in close collaboration with many different parts of the organisation.

The position
You will together with the team develop digital solutions to enhance exploration and access to data and increase efficiency in the organisation. You will be working with projects including visualisation and exploration and/or business process automation. You will be responsible for and drive one or more projects as well as supporting other projects in the department. You will be part of all aspects of the development life cycle including scoping, design, implementation and launch of solutions. Internship period is 6 months with a possibility for extension. The position is 18-37 hours/week with a fixed salary so there is flexibility to support study activities during the internship period. Expected start date is September 1st 2020. Internships are remunerated, if your educational track allows.

Qualifications
You have a passion for new digital technologies and a desire to apply them to solve real problems. You are currently studying for your bachelor’s or master’s degree in a discipline that has provided you with skills to develop digital solutions. You either have a strong technical background within one or more of the technologies in our tech stack (R/Shiny, Python, Power Apps or Power BI) or you have a strong UI/UX background.

Preferably you have hands-on experience with developing solutions within the domains of advanced data visualizations and business process automation.
You are eager to learn and curious to understand the needs of stakeholders with a different background than your own. You must have well developed social skills/be team oriented and have high professional standards.
