We are looking for engineers with experience working as Project Managers or Discipline Managers within the drainage area.

Would you like to work on exciting infrastructure project in one of the Scandinavian countries? Then this may be the opportunity for you. 

The drainage area in COWI is growing and we are currently working on some of the most prominent infrastructure projects in the industry – eg. Fehmarn and Lynetteholm. As a Discipline Manager or Project Manager in the drainage area on infrastructure projects, you will be getting an exciting and challenging job in a highly professional environment. You will be working on key drainage projects within the infrastructure area (eg metro, railway and road projects).
You will be part of the Water and Nature department. In Water and Nature we are 160 employees working in offices all over Demark - Aalborg, Århus, Holstebro, Esbjerg, Vejle, Odense, Ringsted and Lyngby. It is not important where in Denmark you are located. From the base in Denmark, you will have the possibility to travel to other Scandinavian countries, depending on whether you handle a Danish, Norwegian or Swedish project. 
You will refer to the section manager for the local area in Denmark, but your daily focal point will be your projects and customers. Your experience with drainage on infrastructure projects makes you the project team's professional beacon. It is, therefore, important that you are a strong communicator and that you are able to share your professional knowledge with the project team. 

Can you transform challenges to green solutions? 
You are a professionally trained engineer with solid experience in track and / or road drainage in connection with infrastructure projects. You have extensive experience as a Discipline Manager or Project Manager.

You will manage and run large, multidisciplinary projects and tasks within the business area water, nature and sustainability in collaboration with colleagues and external partners across regions and national borders. You will do this with an unwavering focus on the green transformation of society. 

You will design and supervise your own projects therefore it is key that you work independently and dilligently with your tasks. Part of your job will also be to develop client relationships and expand the market. Creating internal relationships that support the business's development and collaboration across departments should also come naturally to you. 

Focused and action-oriented engineer
You extensive experience gives you the ability to create an overview and foresee and solve technically complex drainage challenges. Moreover, you are good at managing and coordinating multiple stakeholders through all project phases.

Who are you?

  • You have theoretical and practical experience working with project management of drainage projects - preferably including several projects concerning infrastructure
  • You have a flair for project management and great interdisciplinary insight and you maintain a high level of comminication in all your projects
  • You have knowledge of and can use CAD design tools 
  • You are fluent in english – both verbally and orally
  • You create an overview and want to see results
  • You are persistent in sharing knowledge and communicating across organizational structures and you know how to motivate colleagues and project staff
  • You understand the market and can handle all stakeholders - from customers to contractors
  • You work independently, purposefully and structured
  • You have great professional pride and you strive to deliver your best every single time
