What will you be doing?
As a DevOps Engineer in Two-Stroke Automation at MAN-ES you will be an essential part in shaping our digital future.
The team you will join is at the forefront of our digital transformation building the foundation of "The Digital Engine" allowing us to safely update our electronic devices and software while the engine is sailing the seven seas.
The product is a greenfield initiative in the MAN-ES group and in the end2end agile product team we both design and implement the solution. This includes looking at new technologies and deciding which is the best way forward, not only for this product but also for MAN-ES in our digital transformation.
With a product comparable to what is becoming the "new normal" in the automotive industry with Over the Air updates and as part of the VW group you will have great opportunities to learn from some of the best – and we look forward to learn from you!
More specifically, you will as DevOps Engineer and our new colleague be:
- Setting up our DevOps environment and help our software developers be efficient in their development
- Managing our DevOps environment and implement changes to this
- Taking part in the entire product development, all the way from designing the architecture to development and operations of the product
- Managing and building our CI/CD pipelines and make sure these stay up to speed
- Monitoring our environments using DataDog and Tenable
Who are you?
Being able to fulfill the tasks above, you’ll of course need some experience with various tools. More on that below. On a personal level we are looking for a colleague who thrives when being challenged and has a “can-do” attitude.
To be a success in the job, it is important that you are a good communicator and thrive when working in a dynamic environment surrounded by a lot of technical experts.
On a more professional level, we imagine that you:
- Have experience with GitHub
- Have experience using GitHub Actions, Jenkins or similar tools
- Have experience with cloud technologies, preferably Azure
- Are used to different scripting languages such as Python, TAML, PowerShell or similar
- Have some experience as a software developer and thus know the difference between a good and bad development environement.
How is your new team/area of business?
You will be part of the Edge Infrastructure team in the Automation department in Copenhagen. The department has end-to-end responsibility for the development, classification and production of our proprietary platforms and application frameworks for controlling our engines.
We are a mixed group of mainly electronics and software engineers covering hardware design, FPGA, embedded software, PC software (Windows & Linux), user interface, cyber security, data management etc.
You will be joining a highly engaged end2end Product Team with an open and innovative culture, who is utilizing the lastest technology to optimize our engines in service and thus help to lower emissions. Moreover, we are eager to build high quality software products that our customers will love!
