DevOps Engineer

Description of the assignment 
Our customer is on an ambitious journey towards operating the core platforms in a DevOps setup. For this we need a DevOps engineer to take part of operating, continued development and deployments of the new claims system, as well as further development and maintenance of the CI/CD pipeline. 

You will be part of the central team developing and operating the new claims system, tightly integrating to the claims handlers and organization. The DevOps team will run features from inception over development, automated testing and into production, and also close the loop with measuring the success of the features. 

The team has full responsibility for the application, so we expect you to have a deep sense of ownership, a curios mind that continuously learn and improve, and a desire to automate everything. It is ideal if you have insurance experience already, and we would be exhilarated if you already know GuideWire, but if you don’t we will teach you. 

Specific tasks and competencies 

Must have experience with: 

• Azure
• Docker
• Git, GitLab and Chef
• Splunk
• MS SQL / Oracle basic administration
• Selenium
• Java

Nice-to-have experience: 

• Insurance knowledge
• GuideWire experience
• Atlasssian suite (Confluence / Jira)
