DevOps Developer

DevOps is an important part that enables RTX to effectively perform full life cycle management of platforms and products.

As a DevOps developer you will contribute to the optimization of the software development pipeline. You will work with SW development process automation. You will also get the opportunity to develop and maintain frameworks for automation e.g. automatic testing framework. You will also work with setting up and maintaining the IT infrastructure supporting DevOps – working closely with the RTX IT department. You will join a team of highly skilled developers in an open working culture with good opportunity for personal development.

Your tasks include:

• Script development.
• Build automation make/Groovy – in the future other build systems like Meson/Cmake may be introduced.
• Test framework development primarily in Python.
• Configuration and maintenance of CI infrastructure. Development, configuration, and maintenance of tools including Linux admin tasks.
• Support towards other development teams.

Who are you?

You embrace teamwork but can work independently. You are service-minded and open to helping your colleagues. We expect you to be flexible and show high responsibility for your tasks. You must be methodical in the approach to problem-solving and must focus on the quality of delivered result:

• Hands on experience with Python, other programming experience is a plus.
• Experience with Continuous Integration and build systems. Experience with Docker is a plus. Experience with Kubernetes is a plus.
• Excellent English written and oral communications skills.
• BS/MS in Engineering, Computer Science or related experience.

Who are you? 

You are passionate about leading a team to success and you are highly goal driven. You have an emphatic and good-humoured nature and take interest in the people you work with. You have a background in embedded software and understand the domain of low-level embedded programming and micro controllers:

• Good leadership skills and relevant people management experience.
• Solid embedded SW development experience and good understanding of software development pipelines.
• Excellent English written and oral communications skills.
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or related educational background.
