Automating the future
As our new DevOps Engineer, you will join our highly skilled and dedicated Infrastructure and Operations team in R&D. The team is responsible for crafting, developing, and maintaining infrastructure and tooling for our Research & Development department. Our focus is on the CI/CD pipeline supporting the software development, which also includes the tools used by our software quality team.

Our job is to ensure we have a continuously flowing software pipeline with a high efficiency and meeting high quality expectations from our customers. Your passion and dedication to automation, thinking “shift-left” into every corner of the software development processes and using metrics for information-based decision making will be key to our continued success.

With reference to our Quality and DevOps Manager, your tasks will be a mix of developing new tooling, convert and maintaining our docker based pipeline environment and developing, deploying and implementing new tools supporting our development teams.

Details, Data and Development DNA
We are looking for a highly skilled candidate ideally with a proven track record of DevOps engineering and CI/CD experience. Preferably you have a programming background. But most importantly with an innate ability to think outside the usual norm and seeing potential for improvements in software development across the entire value stream. Navigating around a multitude of programming languages and diverse set of tools is a must. Being willing to challenge yourself daily to work smarter bit by bit, and being able to adapt and deploy these skills, pushing the boundaries for what is possible, is deeply embedded in your DNA.

You finish what you set out to do, and you take great pride in your craftsmanship as an engineer, balancing effort, and result. You have bagged and tagged enough trials and errors in CI/CD setups to know what makes software workflows phenomenal and know how to utilize this experience to heighten software quality without reducing release cadence.

  • We use Docker with Kubernetes on Linux, Terraform and VMware. Having experience working with these platforms is of high value.
  • Our pipeline is built on tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Maven, Nexus and SonarQube. Experience with these are a plus.
  • And we use Grafana, InfluxDB, Sensu and Prometheus. Knowing your way around them are a bonus.

Further to this you are encouraged to possess the following skills and abilities:

  • Proven understanding of CI/CD pipeline, tooling, and DevOps principles.
  • Top-tier experience with test automation and shifting software-testing left.
  • Familiar with software development VSM tools or using metrics for continuous improvement and correctives to flow and quality.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English
