The opportunity to join a team of five dedicated and experienced colleagues in the Design for Manufacturing department at Widex HQ. Here you will ensure a smooth transition from design to production in collaboration with your colleagues.
Your Responsibilities
You represent the production in R&D projects and ensure that products are ready for ramp up in production. Prior to transfer from R&D to Operations you assist with pilot production and prototyping. With a holistic approach you ensure that, design, manufacturing processes, and documentation allow for an efficient transition and ramp up to full production. You create the required tools and assembly instructions to enable production to work efficiently and deliver sufficient quality with an affordable amount of manpower.
Key tasks include:
- Participating in R&D projects from start to finish
- Reviewing designs and ideas using a DFx approach
- Assisting with prototyping and early builds and pilot production
- Generating assembly instructions using ISO-Draw and office package
- Designing required tools and jigs for use in production and test
- Maintenance of existing documentation in production
- Ad hoc production optimization projects
You
You hold a B.Sc. in mechanical or electrical engineering (or similar) and have 2-5 years of experience from an international production company. You are a dedicated production focused engineer and thrive on generating the right amount of documentation for the production to run a smooth operation. You pride yourself of being able to finish a project and handing over a documentation that others can use and maintain. You are a learning and detail oriented person and you have a proactive approach to your work. You are collaborative by nature and a great team player and can work with many stakeholders across a global organization. You have experience in working with both internal and external partners. Knowledge of the hearing aid industry or other medical device experience is an advantage. You are fluent in both English and Danish.
