In our Mold Design department we are facing a lot of new projects and are therefore looking for a design engineer with flair for Ansys and MatLab to helps us further develop the wind turbine blade molds for the future.

How to contribute to our vision
Your primary responsibility will be designing molds for turbine blades. This will include designing steel, heating and composite constructions together with the rest of the team.

Mold Design is a department consisting of roughly 17 engineers. We design blade molds and other equipment needed to produce a blade. We use the 3D program Siemens NX for the design phase and the PLM software Teamcenter to store documentation.

The department is located in Aalborg where most of the blade molds also are produced. This gives a unique opportunity for the designers to follow their designs take shape just outside the office.

What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.

We are looking for candidates with a background as a mechanical engineer or similar relevant degree, new graduates are encouraged to apply.

To be successful for this position you should:

  • Be able to make 3D and 2D drawings of mechanical constructions
  • Deep knowledge for mechanical constructions of steel and composites
  • Knowledge regarding thermal design including piping modules in 3D cad
  • Be able to communicate with other people to align expectations to the job
  • It will be an advantage if you have a good understanding of analytical structural calculation

The software we are using is:

  • Siemens NX for 3D and 2D drawings
  • PLM system TeamCenter to store documentation
  • Office 365 (Word, excel)
  • Ansys, MathCad and MathLab for calculations

It would be adventitious if you have a good understanding of analytical structural calculation.

To function well in the team, you should have an outgoing personally and thrive on team work with your colleagues.

You should be driven and innovative with good analytical skills combined with the ability to communicate effectively with other people to align expectations to the job.

As you will become part of a multicultural team English will be the work language and you must master it at a high level both written and orally.
