We are currently looking for an experienced Design Engineer to further develop our GridScale thermal energy storage system. GridScale is a technology with the potential to greatly improve the penetration of renewable energy production in Denmark and globally.

Taking GridScale from prototype to commercial scale
You will be part of the design team working to further improve and mature our designs with regards to functionality, cost, and quality. GridScale uses pressurized tanks and piping that are exposed to high temperature variations and requires the smartest solutions.

Your primary tasks will be:

• Optimizing existing design of piping and pressure vessels
• Close collaboration with subcontractors
• Prototyping and testing of design solutions
• Quality assurance of design work
• Planning and scoping of tasks
• Influencing design towards low-cost solutions

Your profile
You have an engineering background with some years of experience with design, preferably including piping and plant layout. Relevant industries could be oil and gas or other pressurized process systems.

We expect you to approach your work with enthusiasm and commitment. You are confident in your abilities and it is natural for you to take on responsibility. Stiesdal Storage Technologies has developed the GridScale concept, an electrical energy storage system with very high climate change mitigation capacity globally GridScale is a cost-effective energy storage solution for mid to long term storage duration. The GridScale technology represents a very attractive solution for enabling high penetration of wind or solar energy production.

In 2022, the company will install its first full scale demonstration project.

We are part of Stiesdal A/S, a new and fast-growing climate technology group with additional activities in floating offshore wind, Power-to-X hydrogen production, biochar carbon capture, and green fuels.
