Are you up for the challenge?
We are currently looking for a talented Design Engineer to help design our SkyClean pyrolysis system. SkyClean is a high impact climate technology, combining low-cost biochar carbon capture with carbon-negative fuel production using agricultural waste material.

Taking SkyClean from concept to commercial scale
You will be part of the design team developing the SkyClean technology, realizing the climate change mitigation potential in converting straw to biochar, biooil, and heat. You will participate in all phases from concept development to commercial scale projects, and your contributions will be vital for the team’s success.

Your primary tasks will be:

Concept development of SkyClean pyrolysis
3D design using SolidWorks
Detailed design of components
Prototype testing
Capturing and implementing learnings from prototypes
Quality assurance of design work
Planning and scoping of tasks
FEA and hand calculation

Your profile
You have an engineering background and most likely 2-6 years of experience in design and test in industries handling biomass, the bioenergy sector or the farming sector, or other rele-vant sectors. Experience with design and manufacturing of welded steel structures subjected to thermal expansion is an advantage.

We expect you to approach your work with enthusiasm and to be self-driven, passionate, and committed. It is natural for you to take on responsibility and you are confident in the role of team leader. You also perform well in the dynamic environment of a start-up organization.
