Do you want to have a leading role in the implementation of the new signaling technology in Denmark?
We are looking for a new colleague with extended project management skills to keep momentum in the Signalling Programme. We are now full-blown in operation with trains running on lines equipped with the new signaling system in the Eastern and Western part of Denmark, as well as on the S-bane (the Copenhagen City line).

The Danish Signalling Programme, the largest of its kind in Europe, is fully engaged replacing the old signaling system on the Danish railway with new computer-based signaling technology. The system is aligned with the European standard, European Railway Traffic Management System (ERTMS). Replacing the system on the entire railway, makes Denmark the first country to implement ERTMS on a national scale.

As we are determined and committed to steadily rollout the signaling system on the full network in Denmark, we are aiming to secure our way forward by strengthening our management team in Signal Projects, Fjernbane Infrastructure. 

Ensuring project deliverables
Entering Signal Projects, Fjernbane Infrastructure you will be engaged as the deputy project manager for our project portfolio. The portfolio consists of projects which main purpose is to replace the signaling system for the Western and eastern part of the country, as well as doing signaling projects on the already migrated lines. You will work closely with both, the assistant director of the area, the senior project manager, project team, stakeholders and the supplier to secure a successful implementation of the portfolio.

We have recently done a larger organizational change and are in the process of implementing it. You will in close cooperation with the assistant director of the area and the management group, drive the initiatives that are needed to secure the continuous development of the new organization. As a part of the development, you will participate in initiatives with the rest of Banedanmark with a specific focus on enabling Banedanmark to make changes on lines that have already been commissioned with the signaling system.  

In corporation with the senior project manager you will be responsible for managing the projects roll outs, stages and activities and ensure control and reporting regarding progress, finance, risk, issues and changes. Furthermore, you will in collaboration with the senior project manager monitor the supplier deliverables related to design, installation, safety approvals, test and commissioning. To manage the above you will participate in regular meetings with the suppliers and other stakeholders.

As a part of the job, you will be leading  our team of Project Managers. This means that you will have the resource and people management responsibility of the team.          

Creating an overview of needs and solution requirements
We are looking for a colleague who presumably holds a university or college degree in Management or Engineering. You may be an experienced Project Officer or Project Manager and have solid experience from roles in team and project management, planning, finance, change, risk, quality and stakeholder management. Solid English skills are required, and Danish is a plus.

Through your background you have shown that you have a methodical and analytical approach, can create overview of needs and solution requirements, and have a good technical understanding. It is preferred if you have experience in railway signalling projects, IT projects and supplier management.

You are expected to have an active and collaborative behavior and good communication skills.

Signaling Projects, Fjernbane Infrastructure
Signal Projects, Fjernbane Infrastructure is a department within the division Signalling Systems. We are responsible for the system delivery of the new signaling system for the mainlines in Denmark.

Signal Projects is an international environment with both internal and external specialists and supported by an international supplier base from across Europe, and therefore our office language is English.

We are located in Banedanmark’s headquarters in central Copenhagen.

Salary
You will be employed in relation to the current labour agreement and your salary is settled based on your experiences and qualifications.  

The position can optionally be possessed on time limited terms
