We have a rare opportunity where we are searching for a Deputy Chief Engineer for unique possibility, to be a part of developing our next generation Offshore turbines. For this role we are looking for someone willing to step up and show their potential.

How to contribute to our vision
As a Deputy Chief Engineer, you are technical responsible for new product development together with the program Chief Engineer. In the organization you are the person that holds special knowledge and experience, as well as fundamental customer knowledge. The role of a Deputy Chief Engineer is to support and lead the project technical activities and is the point-of-contact toward the rest of the organization on technical input and clarification. One of the main tasks is to coordinate alignment on technical trade-offs and to be responsible for technical risk towards project objective within own field of expertise according to strategic needs, impacting the business.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Typically advises and supports Segments, Departments or Technology Development teams, respectively.
  • Is known in respective scientific community and utilizes his/her network.
  • Takes responsibility for their technology field including disruptive technologies.
  • Trains and coaches’ others in the whole organization in their field of expertise.

What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.

Engineering background from a relevant technical area with minimum 5-6 years of relevant working experience is expected. You’ve reached the point in your career where you can use your experience and previous references to make necessary judgement calls. You have a full understanding of all the technical aspects relevant within this field. Experience from the wind industry or similar larger scale industry manufacturer would be an advantage. You have a pragmatic, realistic approach to your work and you are able to communicate with various internal and external stakeholders. When required you are able to drive an issue through and you are able to make calculated decisions based on the knowledge and risks known. You are fluent in English, both orally and in writing.
