Data Scientist, Recovery Optimization, Kalundborg
We are offering an attractive position for a Data Scientist, with interest and skills to support the digital transformation in Recovery optimization. You will work with our team to transform and develop our analytics capabilities, from accessing and reporting on data, to predictive modelling visualization, to help discover leads and optimize our process and workflows.

You will be part of improving the way we work by supporting digital transformation in Recovery. This includes scientific data management, developing basic digital tools and exploring advanced analytics techniques such as machine learning or others. Furthermore, you will potentially explore the use of sensor to cloud solutions to optimize and improve our way of working. 

You will be offered an exciting position in a dynamic and enthusiastic department. You will be in direct contact with colleagues from production, pilot plants, and research & development departments in Novozymes and with the work within digital transformation, you will have the possibility to participate in a digital community. 

In this position you need to:

  • Hold a M.Sc. or PhD in statistics, applied mathematics, operations research, data science, bioinformatics or related field
  • Preferably have more than 2 years of experience in industry, ideally building analytical models and products for an industrial company
  • Have experience with using large data system (e.g. SQL, Hadoop, or Spark) and data visualization
  • Have working knowledge of Git, Docker, and cloud technologies, ideally AWS.
  • Have a good business understanding, being able to look for value
  • Be good at calculating and presenting business cases to management level
  • Be inspiring and motivated by working with people
  • Always challenge the status quo and be innovative
  • Thrive in an informal, international and dynamic environment, where good networking skills are a prerequisite
  • Have a sense of urgency - and you can balance the scientific approach in optimization with business understanding.
  • Be fluent in Danish oral communication (or be willing to learn). Excellent English oral and written communication skills are required
