Data Scientist - Machine Learning & Image Analysis

FOSS Analytical A/S is looking for an ambitious and highly skilled data scientist to drive the development of machine learning, including deep learning, and image analysis applications in future analytical instruments for food analysis.

This is an exciting opportunity, as your skills will have significant influence on FOSS’ future innovation opportunities. In a global world with a growing population, there is an ever-increasing demand for safer food and less food waste. Our solutions provide accurate measurements to optimize food production from raw materials to finished products, and ultimately a better global usage of limited resources.

Primary tasks
Your main responsibility will be to develop new applications and solutions utilizing machine learning and image analysis on a multitude of instrumental methods based on imaging (e.g. hyperspectral VIS-NIR, X-ray), spectroscopy (e.g. near infrared, infrared) and multi-channel flow cytometry.

Qualifications
You hold an M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree in computer science or engineering or similar, and have qualifications within the following areas:

• Machine learning including deep and representative learning, and convolutional neural networks
• Image analysis
• Deep learning frameworks such as Tensorflow
• Proficiency in both Python and MATLAB
• Keen interest in developing real-life food/agri applications to benefit FOSS customers
