Pioneer a brighter future
At Novozymes, we work in close partnerships with our customers and the global community to make a sustainable impact. We use science to advance industries, and as part of Research, Innovation and Supply, you will help find the biological answers and build the new businesses that can pave the way for a brighter future.

Data engineers for a Research and Production Platform
At Novozymes we have formed a new department to bring data-driven processes into our critical business path, building data systems and applications to support decision making in our current industrial processes and drive new business opportunities. We build our platform to support researchers and business units and give them access to state-of-the-art data science tools. We build the platform as Cloud-only and Open Source-first using the best technologies from both cloud providers as well as Open Source projects to solve the tasks at hand. As the market leader in industrial biotech we need to lead the way also in analytics and becoming data driven.

You are an end-to-end problem solver who prefers to use the right tool for the job, in close collaboration with your peers. You are accustomed with bringing systems into production. You have experience supporting and handling data and users within an open source toolkit from the OS upwards, dealing with multiple data sources, and supplying end users with systems and applications running in production. You’ve seen several different databases and know your way around dragging data out of legacy source systems.

Day-to-day you will be working focused and agile on a project-by-project basis, in a cross-functional team assisted by subject matter experts and technical experts. The team is responsible for building and delivering production grade systems supporting Novozymes core business. We work by the Agile principles with the customer as highest priority and frequent feedback.
People development is a focus area in the daily work for all Zymers as well as continuous improvement of the way we work. Interaction with other departments is very strong, using both shared projects and actual job rotations to foster cooperation and people development.
