About the department
Our ambition is to enhance data across the value chain and help create a future-ready and intelligent supply chain. In the Supply Chain Data Management & Analytics department, you will be working in a team on the frontier of bringing data and advanced analytics solutions to the production and supply chain areas. Using the growing data landscape within Novo Nordisk, we develop products that optimize data-driven decision making and deliver value to a wide range of departments within the organisation.

The position
You will support our journey of consolidating supply chain data to the enterprise data lake, under the guidance of a senior team member. This may include developing data pipelines from various systems to AWS cloud, creating datasets for data science projects, or assisting in projects and support with ad-hoc data-related tasks. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with the latest AWS technologies across data management and understand how data impacts strategic decisions within operations.

  • Internship period: The internship is a full-time position for 4-6 months
  • Start date: January 2022
  • A Danish full-time work permit is required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar
  • Proven experience developing software products either as part of your studies, previous work experience or extracurricular activities
  • Fluency with at least one object-oriented programming language such as Python or Java
  • Hands on experience with databases and ability to work with and create complex datasets, both structured and unstructured
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure Cloud or Google Cloud is preferred but not required
  • General knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, Bash would be a plus

We expect candidates to be skilled within their respective field and have high ambition to learn new things. You listen, take initiative, and thrive in a busy and diverse environment. Finally, you must have a strong work ethic, with the ability to manage several tasks and, of course, a sense of humour is a plus. As we are a global company, fluency in both spoken and written English is required.
