It takes the brightest minds to be a technology leader. It takes imagination to create green energy for the generations to come. At Siemens Gamesa we make real what matters, join our global team.

Siemens Gamesa has a vision for renewable energy: we believe in the power of nature and technology. Help us to be ready to face the energy challenges of tomorrow and make a green footprint – join the team in creating a better future for us on our planet.

We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
In our culture of trust, we focus on empowerment, diversity and continuous learning. Valuing our people is what makes us one global team, with our colleagues’ safety at the heart of our organization.

For our Model Based Diagnostic team in Service’s Diagnostic Center we are looking for an additional Wind turbine Diagnostic Specialist (Data engineer), who can assist us in further bringing the new tools we develop into practical use.

The Model Based Diagnostic team is like the rest of Diagnostic Intelligence working remotely on detecting issues on our wind turbines, thereby assuring a minimized downtime for our customers. This is done from Service’s head quarter in Brande in close collaboration with the rest of the Service organization, Siemens Wind Power and the regional offices.

How to contribute to our vision
As a Data Engineer you assist our Computer and Data Scientists, Physicians and Turbine Engineers in expanding the portfolio of diagnostic models on the existing turbine fleet and identify technical areas for developing new diagnostic models on future turbine designs. You help verify and decide when system generated findings need to be escalated to a service job on a given turbine.  You also perform systematic analysis and follow up on both technical impact and business value of escalated detections.

What you need to make a difference
Ideally you have an academic scientific background, including physics or mathematics. You have an analytical and systematic approach to your work, driven by a desire to find what you are looking for. You perform equally well when working independently and as part of a team and have basic experience with programming in one or several languages, with willingness to adapt to the tools we use (training will be provided). Particularly MatLab and Python would be an advantage. Fluency in English is a must – orally as well as in writing.

In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.

In return of your commitment we offer you…
Become a part of our mission for sustainability: Clean energy for generations to come. We are a global team of diverse colleagues who share a passion for renewable energy and have a culture of trust and empowerment to make our own ideas a reality. We focus on personal and professional development to grow internally within our organization. Siemens Gamesa offers a wide variety of benefits such as flexible working hours as well as home-office possibility for many colleagues, employer-funded pension, attractive remuneration package (fixed/variable) and local benefits such as subsidized lunch, employee discounts and much more
