How to contribute to our vision
Across Siemens Gamesa our customers are relying on cybersecurity as a key enabler to deliver modern, secure and maintainable OT solutions. You will be based in Brande.

As a “Cybersecurity Engineer” within the Offshore Technology business unit you will deploy your cybersecurity expert knowledge across the Power Plant Control team to provide agile, responsive cybersecurity support through a diversity of projects and products, to meet both current and future customer needs.

The Power Plant Control department consists of 31 devoted engineers/software developers across Brande, Madrid and Bangalore. We develop control systems for renewable power plants, integrating control of wind turbines, batteries for energy storage and solar installations. The Power Plant Control system act as the electrical interface between the renewable Power Plant and grid operator in order to insure a stable and balanced electrical grid.

Your responsibilities will cover:
You will be the anchor point of bringing your cybersecurity skills to bear across a wide array of projects and in various stages of the project lifecycle - from proposal to maintenance. Security engineering, security architecture, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing as well as embedded cybersecurity are all countermeasures that you will be dealing with in close collaboration with other Software engineering teams.

Your Working Tasks:

  • Integrating Customer Security Requirements in the products
  • Identifying vulnerabilities in existing systems/products and assist with eliminating/reducing their impact
  • Designing and implementing Security Controls and integration into the products/systems
  • Assisting our development teams to follow secure product development lifecycle
  • Assisting product management in early gate activities including technology road mapping
  • Response on day-to-day requests as the security subject matter expert

What you need to make a difference      
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.  We are looking for you, who wants to make real what matters and who wants to change the world to renewable energy.

The ideal candidate holds an academic degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science with Cybersecurity as specialization or similar in combination with thorough practical experience with in:

  • You are a subject matter expert in various information security disciplines like cryptographs and design-based security solutions
  • You possess a high understanding of systems engineering, architecture, development, design principles and experience in embedded, large software systems
  • You are used to produce system specifications and can carry through the technical solution according to these specifications, from the initial idea until end-of-life of the product
  • Software development based c# .net ,(c++)
  • TypeScript / Angular IO / REST service based applications

Most importantly, you challenge yourself and your colleagues to achieve the best results. You have a high professional competency and you have a desire to develop your skills. You have good collaboration skills and you can manage to act in different cultural contexts. To thrive in this position, you must have a strong result- and customer-oriented approach, ideally you will have at least 8 years of relevant experience, in development.
