Would you like to work with the latest and most advanced technologies within communications systems? We are responsible for designing and implementing embedded software in all Oticon´s hearing solutions.

In our world we must negotiate power consumption restrictions on a daily basis - a challenge our 17 highly skilled engineers in the Hearing Instrument Embedded Software Group thrive with, along with the prospect of working for one of the most innovative companies in the hearing solutions industry today.

We currently have a vacant position in our group, due to an increased demand for our deliveries.

In your new position, you will be part of the Hearing Instrument Embedded Software Group consisting of 17 very skillful and dedicated SW developers. Besides the daily dialogue with your SW colleagues, you can look forward to interfacing with the rest of the Oticon organization.

Developing our technology to fulfill the requirements of the other parts of our development organization, will be a major area of responsibility for you. This means that you will be responsible for identifying requirements, developing, testing, releasing, and documenting according to requirements and plans, evaluating change requests and support local management concerning these. In addition, a part of the role consists of integrating and verifying your developed software with other parts of our systems.

Your main tasks include: 

  • Architecture and module design participation
  • Securing software documentation from requirements to test
  • Design, implementation and test of embedded software in our hearing solutions.
  • Participation in the development and maintenance of our automated continuous integration (build and test) set up for the team’s deliveries.

Experience with embedded systems development
We expect you to hold a relevant degree in Electronics or Computer Engineering, and you are eager to work with the latest technologies in complex embedded environments.

Furthermore, you have several years’ experience with development of embedded systems, either in-house or as a consultant. Either way, you enjoy working with collaborating partners.

We are preferably looking for people with the following competencies and experiences:

  • Embedded software development, written in C
  • Embedded Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS)
  • Low memory and power constraints
  • Version control systems (e.g. Git, Perforce)
  • Advanced build flows in Linux
  • Scripting language such as Python or bash
     

We use agile methods in order to deliver our projects. It will therefore be an advantage to have knowledge/experience with Agile software development (SCRUM).
