As our new Corporate Business Development Manager, you will have a unique opportunity to influence the future direction of Ambu’s business areas and product portfolio. You will work in an international environment and have many contact points both internally and externally.

Identify, analyze and recommend new business opportunities
With reference to the Vice President, Corporate Business Development you will be responsible for identifying, analyzing and recommending new business opportunities within the scope of Ambu’s strategic direction. We are looking at both internal and external initiatives to boost our business.

Together with the Business Development team you are expected to ensure that the Partnership and M&A idea pipeline contains innovative and high-potential opportunities. Partnership opportunities in Ambu is a wide process ranging from sourcing of strategic relevant products to our existing portfolio, creating business opportunities in related business areas to co-development of new products and platforms.

Your primary areas of responsibility will be to

  • identify commercial development opportunities, partnerships and acquisition candidates,
  • perform comprehensive analysis of case or targets,
  • present the analysis to the Executive Management Team,
  • support/drive key partnership and Corporate strategy projects.

You will work in close collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Legal and the Executive Management Team. Being an employee of a global company, there will be a certain level of travel activity, approximately 30 to 40 days a year, primarily in Europe and USA.

A strong commercial mindset and a wish to understand the world of customers and patients
You need to have a strong commercial mindset. You must be energetic and have a solid toolbox of analytical and strategic skills to be successful in the job. It is important that you have a structured and systematic approach to your tasks and can communicate clearly with many different stakeholders. It is crucial that you have a genuine interest in understanding the relevant clinical areas and customer settings in order to see opportunities for value creation.

Good interpersonal skills is key to create strong relations both internally in Ambu - as you will be driving projects that require working across many departments as well as externally to create a basis for new partnerships.    

Strong presentation skills are required to support the Executive Management with relevant materials for both internally and externally presentations.

Your educational background must be minimum a Master degree within Economics/Business or Engineering/Medical completed with top results. It is an advantage that you have experience with Business development and M&A work, preferably within the Medtech or Pharma industry.

It is essential that you have excellent communication skills also in English, both in writing and oral.
