Consultant for developing and writing EU/international project proposals

Danish Technological Institute (DTI) in Aarhus is looking for a consultant to join our International Centre. As a part of our International Centre you will assist with the implementation of existing projects and prepare technical and business proposals for future projects. Participation in EU research programmes is the backbone of DTI and you will be part of the team which consistently keeps our success rate in the programmes well above average.

Consultant with experience in writing proposals for EU funding
You will be a part of an international team providing a core support function to a large research and technology organisation, by assisting our consultants with preparation and submission of winning project proposals. Furthermore, you will help in writing our project proposals. Your tasks will include:

  • Obtaining and providing information to colleagues on upcoming calls for proposals
  • Assisting with training staff and other knowledge and capacity building activities
  • Maintaining a project pipeline and a project management system
  • Developing and maintaining relevant international networks
  • Hosting international visitors
  • Assisting with some of the routine office tasks in the International Centre

You will play a very active role requiring an open and highly flexible attitude, as you will work across many different disciplines. You are expected to be able to quickly understand new areas of technology and the business case underpinning the research. You will establish and maintain contact with our external partners and consortia and maintain close contact with the Danish National Contact Points and Programme Committees for EU research programmes. Furthermore, you will work with colleagues at all of DTI’s sites and will travel in Europe principally for meetings with proposal partners and EU commission representatives.

Project consultant with strong writing skills
You have a relevant academic degree in science or technology at master’s level or equivalent. You must be fluent in written and spoken English and be an excellent communicator. You are enthusiastic, a team player, supportive and highly flexible to meet the variety of work. You have a good working experience with MS Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Access.

Previous experience and knowledge of EU research projects (e.g. H2020, Eurostars or similar) and contracts will be considered an advantage, as will consultancy experience.

You work independently and can manage and prioritise your own time. Due to the specificity of the funding programmes, with strict application deadlines, there are peak periods where you must be able and willing to work longer hours.
