Are you our new concept developer? We are a team of devoted people with a variety of profiles developing world-class analytical products and services for our customers within Food and Agriculture.

The job
FOSS is the world’s leading producer of analytical instruments that monitor and control quality in the Food and Agriculture industry. We provide solutions that improve our customers’ businesses by running a sustainable operation supporting high quality products for consumers.

Concept Development is an innovative team generating concepts across all segments in FOSS. We are taking the first steps in bringing ideas to life by a customer centric approach as we strive at creating extraordinary user experiences through different technologies. The team consists of engineers, designers, software - and agriculture profiles.

We collaborate with most departments, internal/external stakeholders, and our knowledge is anchored in a good market understanding making customer collaboration a keyword.

The tasks
Your role is to scope and drive the development process from business idea to concept - describing the why, what and how.

You work close together with stakeholders from S&M, R&D, Service etc., and your primary tasks are:

  • Deliver integrated and feasible concepts for new services and solutions
  • Perform project management, be a facilitator, and master diverse design tools
  • Identify and initiate de-risking activities, e.g. POP-studies (proof of principle)
  • Play an active role in maintaining the segment product roadmap and provide innovative inputs
  • Support the continued improvement of work processes in Concept Development, e.g. tools and templates

Apart from the dedicated segment support, we also have the responsibility to look across the segment roadmaps and ensure that innovations for one segment are applied in the other segments.

The position is located in Hillerød, Denmark, and 15-20 days of travelling per year, primarily for customer visits, must be expected.

Personal profile
We are looking for a team player with drive having a good concept tool box.

Personally, you are able be creative and think out of the box but still work in a structured way, and have a holistic mind-set. People describe you as a robust person - you are able to fight for the best possible concept and get everyone on board. You thrive with working cross organizational with a broad array of stakeholders and is not afraid of taking lead

Qualifications
We imagine that the successful candidate comes with a relevant Masters degree (in engineering, design or similar) and a minimum of 3 years of experience within product development.

You master the disciplines required in early development process, you are familiar with a user centric approach, and have an interest in knowing the market.

It is an advantage if you possess one or several of the FOSS relevant skills, e.g. segment, agriculture, mechanics optics, software, electronics.
