What we offer  
An opportunity to join our Applied Research team in Global Research and Development.  

The Applied Research team is part of the Audiology department. Our core areas of work are within audiology and the application of audiological test methods. We support the R&D department by validating concepts, features, and products, with the aim of guiding the development of new hearing aids and apps. We use our knowledge of audiology to ensure that our products are as meaningful and useful as possible for our customers.  

Your Responsibilities  
The main tasks and areas of responsibility are:   

  • Applying audiology and hearing science expertise in the evaluation of new hearing solutions. 
  • Experiment design and execution.  
  • Statistics, both on own projects and as sparring for the group. 
  • Implementation of new audiological test methods. Experience with various methods will be an advantage: e.g. EEG, listening effort, spatial awareness or ecological momentary assessment.  
  • Hearing aid fitting and fine-tuning, including measuring audiograms. 
  • Audiological communication and publications in various media. 
  • Supervision of MSc and potentially PhD students.  

You 
You are an engineer, hearing scientist, audiologist or human sciences research specialist. You are motivated to design and implement tests that can direct development, or provide evidence for a given feature’s functionality. You find it interesting and challenging to implement new methods or modify existing methods, to provide the best possible audiological test results to be used by developers and marketing.  

Our expectations of you:   

  • You may have experience from a similar position within the medico/life-science industry.   
  • You are an expert on statistics and experimental design.   
  • You are inspiring to be around and you are helpful by nature.   
  • You thrive in a dynamic environment where flexibility is highly valued   
  • You have a master or PhD degree in hearing sciences, acoustic engineering, experimental psychology, or other related fields.  
  • You are fluent in written and spoken English and you are familiar with Microsoft Office and are a user of a statistics program (e.g. SPSS, R or SAS).  
  • You can communicate in Danish or are willing to learn.
