The Position
You will be a part of CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control) Analytical Development and during your internship, you will mainly work with sample handling for UV or HPLC analysis. You will investigate and report the impact of different kinds of manual and automated sample handling processes, such as dilution by weighing and/or pipetting, on the content determination of drug substances and drug products.

You will gain a lot of hands-on experience with sample handling as well as UV and/or (U)HPLC equipment and software. You will have the opportunity to interact with a wide variety of internal stakeholders and be part of a team with skilled colleagues supporting the development projects within the analysis of drug substances and drug products.

Internship practicalities:

  • Internship period: 3-6 months
  • Working hours: Flexible (min. 18 and max. 37 hours a week)
  • Start date: 01 September 2022
  • Internships are remunerated if your educational track allows
  • A Danish full-time work permit is required

Qualifications
We are looking for a student who is in her/his Master's Science program in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or another relevant scientific discipline.

You are:

  • Passionate about analytical chemistry and familiar with the principles of HPLC.
  • Positive and enjoy working together with other people to make things happen
  • Curios and bring new ideas and initiative into the work
  • Great with IT. Interest in software and data handling is an advantage

About the department
The department CMC Analytical Development is part of CMC Drug Product Development in R&D. The department is responsible for a broad and exciting range of analytical methods and technologies supporting the development and production of new drug candidates.

We are involved in the entire Novo Nordisk development project portfolio covering both diabetes and biopharma projects - from late discovery to product launch.
