Widex and the Business Development Team 
Widex is a family owned company founded in Denmark in 1956. Today, we are one of the world’s leading manufacturers in hearing aids. Our products are sold in 100+ markets to customers ranging from governments and larger chains to small and independent shop owners and individual end customers. Our business is healthy and growing, and we want to strengthen this trend further with the addition of a skilled and driven Business Development Manager.  
Currently, our team consists of a Head of Business Development and two Business Development Managers. The function refers directly to the CEO.  
We are based in Lynge close to Allerød with our very own wind turbine, making us the only Co2 neutral self-supplying energy site in the world. 
Growing the Business through Collaboration and Results Focus 
In Business Development, we play a key role in the strategy development process as well as providing in-house consulting across the business. The main responsibilities for the Business Development Manager is to create results and drive a highly impactful agenda through a combination of close collaboration and stakeholder management as well as personal contribution on deep-dive tasks.  
In this role, you will be taking the lead on several cross-functional initiatives, including:  

  • Driving Group strategy development with Group Management
  • Running M&A transactions, including integration planning and follow-up
  • Market and competitor intelligence
  • Ongoing support to CEO and the Widex Management Group

Your Background and Personal Profile 
Perhaps you have spent the past two-four years in consulting or in an in-house management consultancy and are now looking to become part of an organization where you can follow the impact of your work across the value chain and build long-term working relationships with your colleagues and stakeholders.  

As a person, you are motivated by seeing the results of your work as well as engaging with others to create them. You are diligent, curious and impactful. Your approach is self-starting, and you convincingly engage stakeholders on all levels of the organization, from specialists in Global Development to the Executive Team and CEO.  
Your background:  

  • Master’s Degree in Business administration, Economics, Technology/Science or similar
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience from top tier consulting
  • Strong experience in strategy implementation
  • Track record of running projects independently
  • Strong analytical skills
  • High degree of empathy and ability to interact across the organization in a global cross-cultural setting
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong competencies in Excel and PowerPoint    

The corporate language is English and you need to be fluent in English, both oral and written. Danish is not a necessity.
