The position
You will be part of a young dynamic department where the professional backgrounds are diverse including IT, engineering, business and finance, management consulting etc.  As an intern in MARS Business Support, you will be responsible for a wide range of data analytics tasks such as;

  • preparing monthly performance reporting, 
  • using and building forecasting models across MARS, 
  • updating and optimising performance measurement systems and 
  • developing Excel-based or BI solutions to handle large datasets across the organisation.

Furthermore, you will be involved in or independently drive various internal development projects e.g. to improve data quality or optimise processes.

  • Internship Period: Full-time (18-37 hours) position for 6 months.
  • Start date: 1st of April or May 2021
  • A Danish full-time work permit is required

Qualifications
Currently, you are pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering or similar. 

It is highly valuable if you have qualifications within VBA, Tableau, SQL, Alteryx, SAS, NLP etc. Excellent analytical skills with a flair for Microsoft (Excel and PowerPoint) is a requirement. 

Furthermore, you are a team player who can interact with employees at all levels in a multicultural working environment and understand the importance of being service-minded and ready for ad hoc tasks. As a person, you are highly driven, always proactive and hold strong analytical skills.

Delivering results is vital for you and due to a structured mind-set.  You are capable of meeting deadlines without compromising on quality while being involved in several projects simultaneously.

About the department
MARS Business Support is a department placed in MARS consisting of three functional areas: Medical Affairs (scientific trial communication), Regulatory Affairs (approvals by health authorities) and Global Safety (patient safety and handling of adverse events).  MARS Business Support is responsible for a variety of classical business support activities ranging from data analysis, running strategic processes, business intelligence tools and project management across the global MARS organisation. Our main goal is to ensure solid data to drive better-informed decision making and we proactively seek to improve data quality and processes.
