Within our Offshore blade development department, we are currently looking for an Engineer for the blade materials team. The Blade Materials Team is responsible for screening and development of new materials, development and maintenance of the technical requirement specifications, establishment of engineering characteristics for composite laminates, coatings and adhesive, consolidation of material approvals, and establishment of design values.

How to contribute to our vision
You will work together with our blade materials expert and help them execute materials testing programs at both internal and external laboratories. This involves both practical and technical coordination with the test centers. Further, you will help us maintain and elaborate our digital workflow from initial test specification → specimen manufacturing → test execution → database consolidation. All together this will contribute to our operational excellence and speed up or material approval process while at the same time increasing the quality level.

What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for a person who have a structured approach and can handle simultaneous assignments without losing the overview. Further, you can work independently, and possess excellent English skills both orally and in writing. It is important that you have good communication skills and can communicate your needs and results in a clear and convincing manner.

Furthermore, it is advantageous of you possess the following technical skills:

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • Have knowledge in the area of mechanics of materials,
  • Have experience with material characterization in terms of coupon testing methodologies.
  • Possess good general skills within IT tools
