BIM/GIS Data Engineer

Do you want to join Metroselskabet's digital journey, where the future construction projects will be carried out in a fully integrated BIM/GIS environment. Metroselskabet has several digitalisation projects, some of which have already begun, and others that will start in the coming years. Therefore, Metroselskabet is searching for a BIM/GIS Data Energieer, with experience in BIM and GIS CDE.

At Metroselskabet, we have embarked on an ambitious digital transformation journey. We need to establish digital solutions that are as user-friendly and efficient as possible. These solutions are essential for our own internal work processes, our collaboration with external stakeholders, and the operation of the existing and future metro and the light rail.

As a BIM/GIS Data Energieer, you will be a part of the IT team. You will primarily work with the project managers of the digitalisation projects, specialists, and advisors, as well as the IT technical staff, and together you will develop and implement the future digital solutions in Metroselskabet. You will be a key person for managing BIM/GIS data in the MS BIM/GIS CDE .

Skill preferences

• Experienced in planning data management activities, such as structural data review and schedule data conversion processes
• Understands the concept of working with unstructured, semi-structured and structured data
• Experience in working with geospatial, temporal and 3D data
• Experience with data conversion / transformation
• Experienced in structured data review
• Experience with scripting
• Understands the concepts of both GIS and CAD
• Understands the concept for use of metadata
• Experience with data modelling, both logical and physical data models
• Understands the concept of a Common Data Environment (CDE)

Scripting skills

• Phyton 3+
• SQL

Experience with BIM/GIS data
As a person, you are self-driven, and a team player with a positive mindset.

Professionally, you are considered an expert in the BIM or GIS field and possess the following qualities and qualifications: 

• You have extensive experience working with BIM/GIS.
• You have an education and/or experience that gives you a solid and relevant theoretical and practical background
• You are systematic, with a flair for data, and technically sound in relation to BIM or GIS platforms and tools.
• You are proactive and able to quickly acquire new knowledge, see opportunities and contribute innovatively to the development and implementation of the future digital BIM solutions in the organization.
