Your role as a Backend Developer in this unpaid internship will be to work with our team on new features and projects on our tech stack. You will be part of a young and dynamic team with a flat structure, giving you a lot of responsibility and the possibility to learn plenty. About RaskRask
We want to make it more convenient for you to take care of your health and well-being. Therefore, we have developed an online platform where you can order a massage therapist, personal trainer or yoga teacher to come to your home, whenever it suits you - saving waiting and travel time. Over the last few years we have gone from a small start-up in Aarhus to a national brand with more than 250 healthcare professionals all over the country. We do all the development and marketing of the platform, and partner up with independent healthcare professionals. Now, you don’t need to spend time and resources paying a visit to the clinic or the gym. Instead, the healthcare professionals visit you. Our tech is the backbone of everything we do, which we are constantly developing and improving - this is where you come in!

About the internship
During your internship period, you will be an equal part of the team and work on projects with other backend developers, frontend developers and UX/UI designers in close collaboration with our communication team. We have a young and dynamic team with a flat structure, so you will have plenty of opportunity to prove your worth and make a difference. You will be participating in all phases of the development process such as planning, prototyping, design, implementation, testing and maintenance. You will have a chance to develop personally and professionally, and to expand your professional skills and experience. Your tasks during the internship is something we figure out in collaboration with you, depending on your interests, strengths and what we need as a business. Your tasks might include developing completely new features or optimising existing features, integrating 3rd party services to our existing stack, automating workflows or recurring tasks, and solving ad-hoc everyday problems to improve the quality of our service.

We expect you to have basic knowledge of:

Rest API’s, JSON
Javascript (even better if you know Typescript)
OOP (Object-Oriented Programming)

We work with the following technologies:

Languages: TypeScript/Javascript (and a little PHP)
Stack: MySQL, Express API (Node.js environment), WordPress and ReactJS
Avid users of GitHub
Node.js
Relational databases (MYSQL/MariaDB)
On surface: Linux, Agile Development, Docker
