If you have experience within process automation solutions/systems and you are motivated by working with the latest technologies while having influence and major variety in tasks, this job is your perfect match. Exciting automation responsibility from first idea to final implementation
As Process Automation Engineer your focus is to develop, implement and optimize automation solutions at Chr. Hansen sites, globally. You will be part of various cross-organizational project teams as the project’s primary automation professional. Typical projects can be e.g. automation in a new multi million dollar plant or automation related to an up scaled pilot plant setup.

You will:

• Design, code and test various automation projects according to the ISA-88 batch model
• Contribute to definition of new, global standards for automation solutions and specific methods
• Ensure all solutions are developed according to agreed standards - and be a positive ambassador for spreading standards globally
• Ensure documentation are in place and updated
• Deliver second level support to existing plants (minor task)

You can look for to travel approx. 50 days per year to meet colleagues and partners at various sites, primarily in Europe and secondly in the US and South America.

Process automation knowledge and motivation for a steep learning curve
You have a technical degree and some experience within process automation. You have knowledge of ISA-88 and batch systems as well as PLC- and SCADA systems. The same goes for Allen Bradley programming, Wonderware InTouch and ArchestrA configuration.

Hands-on experience is nice but the most important part is, that you are motivated for on-going learning. As part of this you are curious, open-minded and have the ability to come up with new ideas - and at the same time you have the structure to deliver within agreed deadlines. You must also be genuinely interested in the production processes that your solutions support.

You will join a team of 8 experienced and highly competent Automation Professionals based at Chr. Hansen’s biggest site in Avedøre, Greater Copenhagen. We work in an informal and open atmosphere characterized by knowledge sharing, helpfulness and team spirit. Our guiding light is to enable smart and efficient production - and up to date automation knowledge is our tool.
