Join the department of Engineering & Technology Operations (ETO) 
In ETO, you will become a valued member of a global organization working to support and operate the business, by translating business requirements and needs into scalable operational solutions – whether that being hardware, software, machines or new process optimizations. 

Your responsibilities 
As an Automation and Serialization Lead, you will be the end-to-end responsible for the automation solutions implementation globally across sites and operations. This includes the process from user requirements to basic design to the performance qualification of equipment and implemented, as well as ensuring process analysis, alignment and optimization

Data plays a significant role in our operations, and as part of the automated future, using data for intelligence, optimization and simulations will be central. We expect you to be able to analyze data to understand operational impacts and visualize as well as simulate those for further intelligence. 

Serialization is a central part of our license to operate. Part of EU legislation, we are obliged to provide unique serial numbers and identifiers to our medicine to ensure full supply chain visibility and verification – ultimately securing patients throughout the pharmaceutical life cycle. You will be global system responsible for our Serialization System, and are to ensure operational stability, concurrent software updates, trouble shooting and testing.  

Your tasks will include but are not limited to: 

  • Collaboration cross-department (specially IT and ERP) and vendor management  

  • Drive the automation agenda together with key stakeholders 

  • Oversee and steer support and operations on the Serialization System 

  • Monthly reporting on automation and serialization to management 

  • Work in and understand the GxP requirements 

  • Troubleshoot, investigate and solve serialization and automation challenges with support functions 

  • Support and may take lead in ad hoc projects within the organization such as IT infrastructure, integration technology, and processes

Your future colleagues and the organization  
You will join the Danish located team at Kalvebod Brygge, consisting of you and three colleagues. A Program and Project Manager, a Student Analyst and the Director of ETO. The remaining 15 colleagues in the organization are located on our production site in Budapest, Hungary. As part of the Danish team, you will report directly to the Director of Engineering & Technology Operations. 

The Engineering & Technology Operations division reporting directly to executive management and the COO and consists of five departments: Automation & Serialization, Project & Program Management, Service & Maintenance, Validation Office, and Packaging Engineering. Due to the nature of the work, you will work closely together with our Hungarian colleagues in ETO as well as a lot of other departments in the company, including Supply Chain, Quality, IT and Enterprise Systems and Analytics.  

You will experience a fast-paced working environment where no two days are the same, as our work goes hand in hand with the growth of Abacus Medicine and the increasing complexity of the markets.  

The right candidate 
Has a great drive, is organised and can naturally take responsibility for a wide range of assignments through an analytical and proactive approach. Signifying the importance of being self-motivated and having an eye for detail. Additionally, the right candidate can understand technical landscapes and translate them into tangible solutions. Gathering complex information and transforming this into useful and presentable knowledge are also critical in this position.  

The right candidate also enjoys working in an international environment and has effective communication skills. Thereby, close collaborations with internal and external stakeholders are key, including working with local technical teams to ensure we are clear on requirements.    

Furthermore, we expect you to: 

  • Have full proficiency in both written and verbal English 

  • Hold a master's degree in engineering/ automation / innovation /software / global export engineer / operations or similar 

  • 1-3 years relevant experience from similar positions 

  • Experience from automation and technology applications into operations 

  • Knowledge in simulations of Operations or Supply Chains, as well as mechanics and/or software is an advantage but not a requirement
