Audio/DSP Engineer at market leading company

We have a long history as a technology leader in digital and wireless voice communications.

As a DSP/Audio specialist, you will design, develop, test and document algorithms for signal processing of audio in our wireless microphones and other hearing products. You will handle the entire audio path, from filtering of the signal at the source to transmission and reception via digital radio links. You are active in the projects from idea to serial production and you gain insight into the underlying technology in the world's most advanced hearing aids and hearing products.

In addition to the implementation and maintenance of code on embedded DSP systems, you will also explore, prototype and benchmark DSP algorithms focusing on developing innovative solutions on the final product.

We are looking for someone with detailed knowledge and experience in the following technology areas:

Digital signal processing within Audio

• Embedded DSP
• Programming in C
• Simulation in MatLad and Simulink and porting to target systems
• Measurement and verification of Audio

Our development model is based on close cooperation within/between development teams and stakeholders in the corporate management team. You will continuously cooperate with mechanics, electronics, software developers and other specialist acoustics and signal processing expertise in Halmstad and with our colleagues in Switzerland. Most communication outside Halmstad is carried out via our video system, skype, mail, etc. On occasional occasions, you will also travel to Switzerland for personal meetings.

Who are we looking for?
We expect you to have a couple of years of experience in the field. You work well both individually and in groups and used to working structured and documenting your work.

You have the following skills and characteristics:

• Documented training and experience in product devevlopment in Digital Signal
• Experience of measurement and verification in the audio lab
• Fluent English in writing and speech

Experience in the following areas is an advantage:

• Encoding and compression of audio
• Beam foaming
• Noise cancellation
• Embedded software development
• Audiological measurement techonlogy and acoustics
