If you are establishing your career as scientist and you are looking for the best possible foundation for fulfilling your dreams and ambitions, it is right here in front of you. At DTU Electro you will break new ground at the absolute forefront of what is possible within analog and mixed-mode IC design.

Responsibilities and qualifications
Your overall focus will be to strengthen the department’s competences within modern analogue and mixed-mode integrated circuits supporting the continuously decreasing size, weight, and cost of all types of electronic circuitry enabling an increase of applications and features in many different areas.

You will be an integrated part of our Electronics Group, and we expect you to contribute actively to the internal collaboration with other groups at the department, with other departments, and with both academic and industrial partners in Denmark as well as abroad. Your primary tasks will be to:

  • Combine a high research level and publication activity, with promotion of external cooperation and exploitation of research results in interaction with industry
  • Attract national and international funding
  • Teach at BSc, MSc, and PhD levels exploring and developing flexible and future-oriented teaching using new digital and online methods.
  • Teach and supervise BSc and MSc student projects, and be co-supervisor for PhD students

Any candidate who:

  • has a solid knowledge about and experience with analysis and synthesis of all kinds of analogue and mixed-mode integrated circuits as well as with various packaging techniques and challenges
  • has experience working on IC tape-outs
  • has solid experience in using Cadence Virtuoso (or equivalent EDA) tools
  • has experience with behavioural modelling of electronics systems
  • is familiar with simulation and scripting tools (LTspice, Matlab, Python etc.)
  • has good experience in making laboratory prototypes, debugging, and testing integrated circuits and electronic circuits
  • has high self-motivation, enthusiasm, and eagerness to push the boundaries of state-of-the-art
  • is open-minded and teamwork oriented to strive for common ambitious goals

will be considered as a candidate with favourable background. 

You must be responsible for the teaching of courses. DTU employs two working languages: Danish and English. You are expected to be fluent in at least one of these languages, and in time are expected to master both.

As formal qualification you must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent). If you are applying for the associate professor position you should also have academic qualifications equivalent to those obtained by holding an assistant professorship and documented didactic/pedagogic training.

Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union. Starting date is as soon as possible. The position is a full-time position.
