Associate Professor or DTU Tenure Track Assistant Professor in Mobile Software Development

Responsibilities and qualifications
Your contribution will be within software development with an emphasis on research and teaching in one or more of the following areas:
- Android and Kotlin
- iOS and Swift
- Microsoft MAUI and C#
Your overall focus will be to strengthen the department’s research and teaching within mobile software development to ensure the increasing demand for academic as well as industrial knowledge within this field and competences across multiple engineering programs. To do so, you will:
- Develop the research field by identify knowledge gaps of scientific, academic, and industrial relevance
- Contribute to and take leadership at different stages of project development
- Conduct and in time lead research projects with high visibility in the international networks of relevance though publications and collaborations
- Teach and supervise within multiple BEng - and part time diploma-programmes within the above mentioned fields
- If associate professor, supervise PhD students; if assistant professor, co-supervise PhD students
In this position you will have the opportunity to develop your professional skills within the above areas, as well as other relevant areas. Beside teaching in the above mentioned areas, you will also be contributing to the group’s research agenda with your research experiences and perspectives.
Our research is focused on implementation of digital technologies with key application within healthcare, optimal use of energy and resources, maintenance planning, and optimization with respect to securing digital systems and communications.
You must be responsible for the teaching of courses. DTU employs two working languages: Danish and English. You are expected to be fluent in at least one of these languages, and in time are expected to master both.
As formal qualification you must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent). If you are applying for the associate professor position, you should also have academic qualifications equivalent to those obtained by holding an assistant professorship and documented didactic/pedagogic training.

Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union.
The starting date is 1st January 2024 or according to mutual agreement. The position is a full-time position.
