MT Højgaard is one of the Nordic region’s leading construction and civil engineering companies with customers in Denmark and selected locations abroad. MT Højgaard is currently working on several high profiled projects in Odense and Southern Jutland, and we are therefore seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, who wants to be part of a big international construction team. This career opportunity is ideal for engineering professionals, who not only understand the complexities of large scaled projects but also thrive with an exciting workday on an international construction site in Denmark.
Areas of responsibility
Your work day will be versatile, and your contributions are valuable to the project. You will carry out quantity surveying duties in conjunction with other team members and provide effective financial and contractual control on all allocated contracts. Furthermore, you will be analysing the results related to risk, value management and cost control, and deliver detailed status reports. You will report directly to the project director.
Primary tasks
Ensure that all changes follow all current requirements and standards. You will also resolve corresponding or other claims from subcontractors making sure that everything is documented correctly among all parties involved. You will also advise the project management team on the contractual requirements.
Other task
- Identifying, pricing and approving changes
- Measurement calculations both from drawings and on site
- Preparation of detailed final accounts
- Constant contract reviews and reports
- Evaluate risks associated with projects and review project finances in light of the risk evaluations.
To be successful in this role
You have the ability to analyse and evaluate information from diverse sources and make appropriate decisions. You have 1-4 years working experience as a Quantity Surveyor, where you have become acquainted with, and gained an understanding in construction. We emphasize that you have experience with construction of technologically advanced and energy-efficient buildings.
