We offer interesting and challenging tasks, a positive working environment in international teams and opportunities for personal development and growth in a global company.

Your responsibilities and tasks:
GEA is one of the largest suppliers of process technology for the food industry and a wide range of other industries. The international technology group focuses on process technology and components for sophisticated production processes in various end-user markets.

Would you like to help us transform industrial processing on a worldwide scale? Today production plants all over the world are constantly evolving, driven by demands for increased environmental sustainability, improved quality, higher efficiency and further digitalization.

We offer a career in one of the world’s largest suppliers of process technology. And in our business unit Chemical Drying in GEA we are looking for an experienced international Area Sales Manager for our Customer Life Cycle team. CLS and drying are designated strategic and fast-growing business areas, where you will be supporting our customers with detailed knowledge on how to improve the performance of chemical drying installations in the production line.

You will be part of a dynamic team of 8 Area Sales- and Project Managers, reporting to a team leader. The Chemical CLS team is an integrated part of the Chemical Project Execution department consisting of 3 teams with 33 employees. We share knowledge and resources across the different teams and a spirit of collaboration and team effort is a cornerstone of our values.

Additionally, we work in close corporation with the Chemical sales department and process specialists with whom we share office spaces and work together on a daily basis.

From your managers you can expect strong support in achieving personal development goals and sales targets.

You will join a global market leader in rapid growth and we offer you the chance to leave your personal mark on the development of a business which is on a stable growth curve with further potential to expand in the years to come.

The Job
As Area Sales Manager within the Customer Lifecycle team you will be responsible for driving all CLS sales activities in a defined region in collaboration with local GEA offices and partners. This implies preparing detailed quotations for customers and local offices spanning the entire portfolio of GEA Chemical drying technologies.

Finding the right drying solution for a customer involves process and plant specification, product test work, cost and sales price setting, preparation of quotations as well as final contract negotiations with customers.

Your responsibility is to be the link between our customers, our technical department and project department.

  • You will provide technical day-to-day support and investigate the customers' need for replacement, upgrade, modernisation, revamping or maybe an audit.
  • You will work closely with customers and drive GEA’s relationship and customer focus. We will ensure that you are supported by an experienced team of internal experts in technology centres, application development and project execution.
  • You are involved in several activities to strengthen our long-term business growth and market position. This involves exploration of new business opportunities as well as implementation of strategic initiatives as set up by the management.

Your profile and qualifications:
We are looking for an outgoing and proactive profile with a high drive and strong independence.

To have success in the job you must have a deep technical knowledge of process equipment as well as a profound commercial mindset.

You must have a degree in engineering, preferably chemical or mechanical, and you are familiar with industrial production processes and equipment utilised in the chemical industry, and can translate this into attractive plant design and quotations.

You have sales experience within the chemical process industry and can show a successful track record within technical project sales.

As you will be working with customers worldwide you need to possess cross-cultural understanding and language skills to plan and carry out complex sales processes internationally and handle negotiations independently.

You must be fluent in English. Our corporate language is English and all contracts and communication with customers is in English. Mastering Danish and other languages is a plus.

If you like the “hunt” for closing orders in collaboration with customers and internal GEA stakeholders, if you have a strong mindset, can hold your nerve and if you are able to travel 50-80 days a year, you might be the one we are looking for.

The position is based in Soeborg, Copenhagen.
