About us
We are looking for a dynamic sales manager with some years’ experience in project/process selling of small, medium, and large-scale projects in the process industry.
We sell and deliver complete or parts of instant coffee process lines – from receipt of coffee beans to finished products: Coffee extracts, spray dried and or freeze dried coffee.
We also sell and deliver complete industrial freeze drying plants for the food industry.
Know-how or experience within the above technologies or one of them will be seen as an advantage.
We travel and work worldwide: Eastern and Western Europe, Russia, Asia, South and North America. Africa, Middle East and the rest might come up with opportunities.
Your Profile / Qualifications
You will join our existing and highly experienced sales force to help maintain and expand our present top position in the world market for said equipment in existing as well as emerging markets.
You will become a member of a sales team of GEA’s frontlines persons at new and existing customers and be responsible for turning requests into closed deals as well as creating new opportunities – a good “nose” for realistic new opportunities is foreseen.
You will be responsible for making offers and following up on them, and for conducting commercial and technical contract negotiations – the export project sales process from A-Z.
The size of the projects we close is typically in the range of EUR 1-50 million. More of the smaller, fewer of the bigger.
You will work either via other local GEA Regions and Countries offices or directly to costumer depending on the nature of the project and the customer organization preferences.
The sales process flow and participants are decided with the aim that all parts of the chain must be value adding to the process in order to reach the goal – to close the sale.
You are probably qualified in one of the majors: mechanical, chemical, export or process engineering and have experience in conducting contract negotiations
A further commercial background, obtained in a similar environment maybe supported by additional business school will be an advantage but not a must.
You should have a certain level of knowledge on export financing and financial instruments used in export sales: Letter of Credits, bank guarantees etc.
The preferred applicant
- Is used to travelling and is prepared to travel up to 100 days per year
- Has perfect English skills, written and orally, and preferably knows one other language, other than your mother tongue – Spanish, Russian or other major language
- Has business acumen
- Can remain calm, even in difficult situations in unfamiliar territories
- Is energetic, show authority, loves to sell projects and hates to lose
- Enjoys working with customers and colleagues in an international environment
- Has a pretty good idea of the working environment in large-scale multinational companies with its pros and cons.
You will of course get in-house training as well as hands-on training in connection with start-up of plants where applicable.
