How you’ll fit in
You will be working as part of the Digital Platform Development team in Copenhagen, as a Senior Software Developer specializing in system design. Our aim is to connect all remote MAN-ES assets via cloud-based technologies and edge applications, to track lifecycle operation data and develop engine analytics.

As part of this role, you will oversee the development of and contribute your own IT-based solutions to our digital ecosystem architecture and the strategy behind it. You will be involved in every stage of the process – from configuration, to production and deployment.

You will focus a lot of your attention on technology scouting and evaluation within the marine IIOT sector to ensure our Edge Application Server Design and development processes remain competitive, delivering the best possible outcomes for MAN-ES and our customers.

This will also involve dealing with a range of maritime stakeholders and working with MAN-ES’ other digital platform teams located in Europe and Asia to align expectations across the organization.
 
What we’re looking for
Our ideal candidate should have:

• A Master of Computer Science or Software Engineering (with 10-15 years working in the field).
• A background in agile development processes and tools.
• Hands-on programming experience using C#, .NET or C++ .
• Confidence when it comes to handling data and utilizing cloud technologies for secure storage.
• The ability to “lead by doing,” as a way of managing internal stakeholders and actively embodying an inclusive approach in their day-to-day work.
• An eye for intuitive system design.
• A bigger picture perspective that is always working towards holistic, business-oriented solutions.
