Application designer with a passion for 3d simulation, Odense, Denmark

Join us in a newly created role where you will be visualizing our product to new clients in the best way through over innovative web-based application e-tool

Roles & Responsibilities:
Our Application Builder tool is newly created and so is this role. You will be working from our office in Odense and report directly to our Head of Global Applications Management. Here you will become part of a driven and passionate team with high ambitions for their area of the business. Your primary tasks will be to ensure that our web-based application e-tools are inspiring and satisfying the demands of potential new clients within production automation.

As a ‘3D modeller’ you will be responsible for creating robot application layouts and designs. You succeed when the complexity of a robot integration is eliminated enabling the user - on his own - to identify and choose the optimal solution and ultimately enabling the self- installation of a collaborative robot installation. You must be well versed with industry standard 3D modelling programs and tools and have the capabilities to transform complex integration knowledge into easy understanding through visualization for the novice user of cobots.

We are looking for a structured and proactive engineer who is passionate about supporting UR and potential new customers by taking our web based application for 3D modelling and simulation interactive application builder to a higher level and thus giving the viewer not just a glimpse but a realistic view of his future production automation using collaborative robots.

Further to the above, your key responsibilities are:

  • Develop 3D simulated application designs for Application Builder
  • Overall manage e-tool platform, manage localization and contribute with content to the application e-tool
  • Create application reference designs and application layouts
  • Design trade show application layouts

Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Education Required:
We are looking for someone with a passion and knowledge about application building and designing. You come with a minimum of 5 years of experience working with electronic/mechanic on machines and experience working with simulation design such as SolidWorks, Visual Components, RobotMaster. Your educational background comes from a M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Engineering, Mechanical, Mechatronic or similar. Preferably, you have experience with programming languages, ideally robot programming languages. Field experience with installation of automation projects a definite advantage.

In terms of personal qualifications, we are looking for someone who is:

  • Openminded, robust and persistent
  • Strong in finishing tasks/projects and keep deadlines
  • Comfortable in a vibrant environment which will challenge your professional skills
  • Excellent communication skills

Our company language is English, therefore fluency in both written and spoken English is a requirement.
