About the department
The department CMC Analytical Development is part of CMC Drug Product Development in R&D. The department is responsible for a broad and exciting range of analytical methods and technologies supporting the development and production of new drug candidates. We are involved in the entire Novo Nordisk development project portfolio covering both diabetes and biopharma projects - from late discovery to product launch.

The position
During your internship, you will mainly work with sample handling for UV and HPLC analysis while comparing and reporting the impact of different kinds of manual and automated sample handling processes on the content determination of drug substances and drug products.

We will provide you the opportunity to gain a lot of hands-on experience with sample handling both manually and automated using a BIOMEK i7 Automated workstation (Liquid handler) as well as UV and/or (U)HPLC equipment and software.

Interacting with a wide variety of internal stakeholders and being part of a team with skilled colleagues supporting the development projects within the analysis of drug substances and drug products will be part of your daily tasks.

Practicalities:

  • Internship period: 6 months
  • Working hours: 37 hours a week
  • Start date: 1 February 2022.
  • Internships are remunerated if your educational track allows
  • A Danish full-time work permit is required

Qualifications
We are looking for a student in a Master’s Science program (Biochemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or other relevant scientific disciplines) with the following skills:

  • Passion for analytical chemistry and familiarity with the principles of HPLC
  • Positive mindset and enjoy working together with other people to make things happen
  • Keen to bring new ideas and initiative into the work with a curiosity approach
  • Fluency in Danish and English both written and spoken

Flair for IT and interest in software and data handling is an advantage.
