Do you have an interest and experience in working with asset management, operation and maintenance of offshore pipelines?

Join us and become Lead Pipeline Engineer in our Operation & Maintenance - Offshore Pipelines Department which is responsible for operation and maintenance of approximately 800 km of offshore pipelines. They comprise one oil and two gas transmission pipelines and associated subsea structures and risers. The department's responsibility includes asset management, preparation of inspection programmes and follow-up on the execution, integrity assessment and management of the internal environment of the pipelines.

The department is a part of DONG Energy Distribution & Customer Solutions which has 1400 employees. Distribution & Customer Solutions covers vital requirements within supply, trading, service and counselling with approx. 1 million wholesale, business and residential customers. We transport oil and gas from North Sea Fields in the Danish sector to the oil terminal in Fredericia and to our gas treatment plant in Nybro respectively.

You will be based at our office in Virum in the Greater Copenhagen area. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work. Further, the work may include participation in marine campaigns to supervise subsea activities.

Your key tasks will be to

  • ensure the asset management of the oil transmission pipeline is properly executed
  • ensure and provide support to integrity management of pipeline systems in operation
  • develop and maintain relevant standards, procedures, tools and databases related to pipeline operation and maintenance
  • generate, plan and provide support to the execution of marine operations
  • ensure budgets, follow-up on budgets and perform monthly reporting to the pipeline owners.

In addition, you will perform pipeline condition evaluations and may be included in a duty roster to cover for emergency situations.

Furthermore, your work will include tendering and review for work related to the maintenance of pipeline systems, including working with and managing contractors and consulting engineering companies as well as handling the subsequent contract management.

Your qualifications and core competences include that you

  • have a bachelor's or a master's degree, preferably in Structural/Hydrodynamic Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  • have extensive pipeline experience within subsea and pipeline engineering and/or with practical pipeline operation and maintenance as well as experience in marine and subsea operations
  • have experience working with and managing engineering/contracting companies, manufacturers and equipment suppliers
  • have a proactive and systematic approach to your work tasks as well as high focus on health and safety
  • speak and write English fluently
  • thrive in an international environment and have the ability to create good relationships with your stakeholders.
