We are looking for a development engineer for a temporary employment period of approx. one year. So if that person could be you, then read on an apply.

Your challenges
You will be located in Skjern together with 450 highly engaged and motivated colleagues and you will be part of one of our NPL teams (New Product Launch), which is part of our Innovation Center. You will play a vital role with development of our internal and external accessories to VELUX roof light windows - such as electrical motors for window opening, curtains, blinds and roller shutters of many types to provide indoor comfort and design

Our team consists of 10 dedicated colleagues working in cross-organisational teams. 

Through our State Gate process, you will be involved in product concept to final implementation in our production.

Your tasks cover development of innovative products to existing and new business areas. In addition, you will also be involved in analysis, compile test documentation, verification of product performance and specification material.

In collaborating with our prototyping workshop, you will have the opportunity to produce physical models and prototypes making you able to construct the product according to requirements related to functionality and quality.

You will be participating in relevant seminars and fairs nationally as well as internationally.

Your qualifications
We expect you to be a mechanical engineer or maybe you have a background as a machine technician supported by solid practical construction experience. Experience with plastic construction will definitely be a great advantage and knowledge of working with development in 3D CAD as well as experience with development of consumer products will be a plus.

You have a creative head and the ability to turn ideas into realisable solutions. It is essential, that you are truly motivated by being involved in all project phases and that you thrive working in a project culture characterised by highly professional proficiencies and cross-functional knowledge sharing.

You have a practical and analytical approach to task solving, and you take pride in being thorough and detail oriented in your work allowing you to plan your tasks and ensuring progress. You see yourself as a self-driven and independent person with a strong drive, getting your energy from working in a knowledge intensive team based on collaboration. Therefore competencies such as strong communication and collaboration skills are some of your strong qualities.

On a personal level, you have a good sense of humor and you contribute to the collaboration with an open and forthcoming nature.

As you will engage with stakeholders throughout our organisation, you must be fluent in Danish and English, both orally and in writing.
