Department “Control&Electronics” (EEEEO9) is looking for a new department manager as our current department manager has chosen to seek new challenges within the company.
 
The department “Control&Electronics”  deals with control, hydraulics and electronics on our two-stroke ME and ME-GI engine series. Follow-up in service as well as maturing of new designs are key words in this relation. 

The department consist of 14 employees in addition to the department manager: 

  • A team of superintendents with great travel activity for visits to vessels in service as well as on the world-wide engine building sites and shipyards, which places high demand on their own independence.
  • A more stationary team amongst others providing second line support to EEEEO, PrimeServ and Licensebuilders world-wide, root cause analysis of hydraulic components (ELFI, ELVA, FIVA valves) as well as playing a central part in the coordination of the internal ECS parameter generation process in engineering and R&D
  • An electronics laboratory performing root case analysis of failed electronics products as well as qualification tests and review of new MDT electronics designs and 3 party products.

 
You will be a part of the LEO Management Team, which consist of 8 Group Leaders and a Senior Manager.
 
EEEEO9 works closely with several departments in-house around improvement of electronics, control issues and hydraulics. The department actively participates in many of the processes. The main task, however is to perform service tests and provide the essential operational feed-back so that MDT-C can develop a reliable and top quality product.       
 
Responsibilities:

  • Be a key person in the department in relation to communication and coordination, internally within the company as well as in relation to customers and external partners
  • Management
  • Resource planning
  • Ensure that the right competences are present in EEEEO9
  • Travel in connection with technical meetings, customer meetings and external partners

Qualifications:  

  • Electronics, Electro, Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineer (or similar) with knowledge of 2-stroke diesel engines and related mechatronics.
  • Good English skills in both speaking and writing.
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Good flair for economic decision
